The holiday season is here, and with that comes the beautiful lit yards and decorations for everyone to see. Though you might be decorating your home and getting your lights ready, don’t forget about your pond. Your pond can be the great center focal point for a perfect winter scene, and here a few ways to do just that.
Light it Up
If you don’t currently have pond lights, now is the time to get them. Whether you add floating led lights with holiday lights or add solar lights to your walkway, the bright lights can add the festive feel to your holiday decor. Another option is to add string lights to your surrounding bushes and plants to get that same festive feel.
Play on The Weather
Use the ice, the bare trees, and the possible surrounding snow to get your pond holiday ready. Add some icicle lights to your neighboring plants; it’s a great way to keep your yard well lit, well staying in the holiday spirit.
Be Creative and Fun
When you think of cold weather, you think of the north pole, so why not use your pond to recreate a north pole scene? Add some candy canes or a snowman. Your pound is the perfect center for winter-related decorations, just make sure it’s not in harming your ponds life. When planning out your complete winter wonderland, do so with your pond water and fish health in mind.
