Pick the perfect pond size and location is not an easy task. There are many factors you’ll want to think about before settling on your final pond destination. So if you are in the market for a new pond, here’s what you’ll need to consider:
Think About Your Budget
Before you begin to map out your pond, you’ll need to think about the financial cost of it. What’s important to you? What is the overall image you are looking to achieve? All these factors will be a big part of how big or small you make your pond, and they will affect your budget, so be sure to go over all the details.
Where will my pond be in a location to where we will be sitting when we are in the backyard? All our ponds have waterfalls and are one of the most enjoyable parts of your pond, so it is very important that your waterfall is seen and not hidden. How tall and/or how long will my waterfall be? All things to be considered before installation.
Think About Location
Another thing to consider is the areas around your pond. Am I disrupting a path to and from my backyard, will my landscaper be able to perform their tasks without creating a possible problem? Is there trees, bushes, shrubs that may be in the way and/or can they be moved? Trees can provide right shade, but you don’t want to worry about the roots causing you any issues. All good questions that can be asked and answered by a professional pond designer.
